In today’s fast-paced world, we often find ourselves juggling various tasks at once. From attending meetings and taking notes, to scanning documents and keeping track of business cards, the list goes on. However, these tasks can become cumbersome and time-consuming, especially when we’re on the go. Misplacing important documents, struggling to read blurry images, or losing track of handwritten notes are common challenges many of us face. When we started ENDO IT, our accountant said to keep every receipt without excuses and we have been using a great and capable tool for some time now.
Introducing Microsoft Lens
This is where Microsoft Lens comes in. Formerly known as Office Lens, Microsoft Lens is a powerful tool that can help you overcome these challenges. It’s like having a portable scanner right in your pocket.
Microsoft Lens allows you to capture notes and information from whiteboards, menus, signs, handwritten memos, or anything with a lot of text. It’s also great for capturing sketches, drawings and equations. The app trims, enhances, and makes pictures of whiteboards and documents readable.
You don’t need to jot down notes, rely on blurry images, or worry about misplacing anything. Microsoft Lens gets rid of shadows and odd angles, so that images are easier to read.
Microsoft Lens works on both Android and iOS (Apple) which allows you to work from anywhere, anytime on any device.
How Microsoft Lens Works
As soon as you open Microsoft Lens, you can choose your mode — Photo, Document, Whiteboard, or Business Card — so Microsoft Lens can make the image look its best.
After scanning in the content, users can further edit the image or keep it as is and export it in the format of their choice.
One of the key benefits of Microsoft Lens is its seamless integration with other Microsoft products. Since Microsoft Lens powers the camera in Microsoft 365 mobile apps, including Office, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive, you can rely on Microsoft Lens to capture and intelligently enhance your documents, photos and videos.
Files scanned can be used in other Office apps such as OneNote, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. By default, Office Lens app saves your photos to OneNote in your main notebook. You can also save the photos as a PDF or upload them to Word, PowerPoint and OneDrive using Microsoft cloud.
Microsoft Lens is more than just a scanning app. It’s a comprehensive tool that addresses common pain points we face in our daily work lives. By transforming the way we capture and store information, Microsoft Lens not only enhances productivity but also makes our lives a little bit easier.
At ENDO IT, we take a comprehensive approach to building solutions, apps, or enterprise applications. We assess technologies from various perspectives, often identifying capabilities that are premium in the cloud but are available at no cost with existing products like Microsoft Lens. This unique approach sets us apart and allows us to deliver exceptional value to our clients.
